Oh this is just shameful...

The're making a blockbuster 911 movie, due out in theatres this August. Maybe this is old news, but I just heard of it.

why are they doing this? What purpose would it serve? I think its sick that 911 is used to sell entertainment as much as it already is, but its almost subliminal. Its slipped in here and there to generate patriotic support for America and the show its been mentioned in becomes popular by association. At least thats why I think the writers add it in.

Who's getting the millions of dollars this movie is bound to rake in? The famileis who actually lost their loved ones or the people in hollywood who make scads of money already?

I think this was expected, but I figured they'd wait a few decades before actually doing it. 6 years is a little soon.
